Ethereum Researcher Cautions AI Could Threaten Crypto Wallet Security

Ethereum Foundation researcher Justin Drake has warned crypto holders about a worst-case scenario in which AI-assisted advances could threaten ECDSA security within months. He proposed “bunker mode”, involving gradual transfers to fresh addresses. Vitalik Buterin advised against rushing to move funds, while warning that AI-assisted mathematical breakthroughs could also challenge some lattice-based cryptography.
