WhatsApp now has a new global head, Will Cathcart revealed, while announcing that Kunal Shah will take over from him to head the instant messaging platform. This comes as Mark Zuckerberg-led Meta has entered Cred as the new minority shareholder, which Shah founded in 2018. Cathcart held the position of global head of WhatsApp for more than seven years. WhatsApp introduced end-to-end encryption messaging, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), and more features under Cathcart’s leadership.
