The global smartphone market experienced a 6 percent year-over-year (YoY) decline in shipments in Q1 2026, as per a new report by Counterpoint Research. Apple led the global smartphone market, driven by strong iPhone 17 demand. Samsung followed with a 20 percent market share. Xiaomi retained third place, while Oppo and vivo held fourth and fifth positions, respectively.
