Google Maps Is Reportedly Developing a New Power Saving Mode for Navigation

Google Maps appears to be developing a new mode that will reduce battery usage during navigation. Reference to the feature was reportedly spotted on the APK teardown of Google Maps for Android. Users may also be able to activate the Power Saving mode directly within the Google Maps app. The UI may show a monochrome design in this mode, leaving only the most essential navigation elements visible.
